hardBackup

hardBackup - ITeF!x Consulting
hardBackup is a powerful solution for disk-based backup on windows systems. By utilizing well proven open source technologies like Dirvish, Rsync, Openssh and Cygwin, hardBackup can:
- keep several images of backup in a rotating scheme
-represent identical files in different images by one single physical copy
-transfer only changes in files via secure channels

Dirvish is a fast, disk based, rotating network backup system. With dirvish you can maintain a set of complete images of your filesystems with unattended creation and expiration. A dirvish backup vault is like a time machine for your data.
Rsync uses the Rsync algorithm which provides a very fast method for bringing remote files into sync. It does this by sending just the differences in the files across the link, without requiring that both sets of files are present at one of the ends of the link beforehand.
OpenSSH is a free version of the SSH protocol suite of network connectivity tools.
